Rose A Bradford's Obituary
Rose Angela Bradford (October 7th, 1948 - November 21st, 2025)
Rose “Rosie” Angela Bradford, 77 years old, was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1948 to her two loving parents, Joe and Jennie Sciarrotta. She grew up with her two siblings Leo Sciarrotta and Marie Liali. In her younger years, she attended Sacred Heart, in Memphis, TN and graduated high school in 1966. In 1969, she married Micheal Biggs, in which they had two beautiful children, Dena Harrison, and Mark Biggs. She decided to further her studies, in which God lead her down the path of nursing. Rose attended Shelby State Community College, in which she graduated with her Associate in Nursing and became an astounding Registered Nurse. Rose started her first nursing job at The Med, where she fell in love with Labor and
Delivery. She began to work at Methodist Germantown, in which she retired in November of 2017. She touched so many hearts throughout her years as a registered nurse, she loved to care for babies, mothers, and families. She was able to assist in each one of her granddaughters births, along with multiple “bonus” grandkids, throughout her years. She later divorced Micheal, however kept a loving relationship as they both raised their children.
Furthermore, she met Terry Bradford, her true love, they spent many happy years together. She welcomed a daughter-in-law, Stacy Biggs, and a son-in-law, Vance Harrison into her loving arms and later had four beautiful granddaughters who she loved so dearly. Rose was a woman of true character, she welcomed in everyone to her dinner table, as she loved to cook and host. She had a spunky attitude, however knew how to truly care deeply and love exponentially. She was a true woman of Christ, and that was faithfully seen in her everyday acts of true love.
Rose was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pasquale and Rosa Sciara, her parents, Joe and Jennie Sciarrotta, her brother, Leo Sciarrotta and his wife Anna Mae Sciarrotta. She will leave behind her sister Marie Liali (Joe), her daughter, Dena Harrison (Vance), her son, Mark Biggs (Stacy), her four granddaughters, Allyson Miller-Harrison, Taylor Biggs, Abbygail Harrison, and Payton Biggs, along with multiple nieces and nephew.
Her celebration of life will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, in Memphis, Tennessee on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025. Visitation will be from 9am-10am, with the service to follow at 10am.
