Rosalie W Dickey's Obituary
In loving memory of Rosalie Dickey.
Rosalie Dickey, aged 87, of Memphis, TN, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 17th. Affectionately known as Grandma and Goo Goo, Rosalie leaves behind a legacy of warmth, a delightful sense of humor, and boundless love for her family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Winfred and grandson, William Chunn.
Rosalie's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love and care for her family and friends. Her passion for nurturing her flowerbeds and the pride she took in her home were evident to all who knew her. For many years, Rosalie dedicated herself to Hunter Fan, a job she truly loved until her well-deserved retirement.
Devoted to her faith, Rosalie was an active member of Cherry Road Baptist Church for many years. Her kindness and grace touched the lives of those around her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Winfred Jr. (affectionately known as Wimp), and daughter, Karen Chunn. Rosalie's presence in the lives of her grandchildren, Joshua Chunn, Zach Chunn, Andrew Dickey, Hannah Dickey, and Olivia Dickey, was a constant source of love and inspiration. She also delighted in her two great-grandchildren, Gabby Chunn and Charlie Dickey, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.
In addition to her immediate family, Rosalie is survived by her siblings: Barbara Sharp, Shirley McDonald, Sylvia Finley, and June McCarter. The bonds she shared with her siblings were strong, and they brought joy to each other's lives throughout the years.
To honor the memory of Rosalie, we invite you to join us in celebrating her life on Tuesday morning, July 25th, 2023 (visitation 10:00 am and service 11:00 pm) at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar Ave. As we bid farewell to Rosalie, let us remember the joy she brought to our lives and the legacy she leaves behind. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory live on in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Cherry Road Baptist Church or a charity of your choice in Rosalie's honor.
