Ronald Tonahill's Obituary
Ronald Eugene “Butch” Tonahill, 73, passed away after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy Foppiano Tonahill; three daughters, Brenda (Rob) Dew, Laurie (Dean) Pakis all of Germantown TN, Karen (Brian) Wilson of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Bobbye Jordan of Lake Cormorant MS, Peggy Wideman of Bartlett TN, and Diane Smith of Memphis TN; three brothers, Billy Moore of Jacksonville TX, Kenny Moore of Fredricksburg VA, and Eddie Tonahill of Chattanooga TN; and seven grandchildren. He was a member of Germantown United Methodist Church, Mason, and member of the Scottish Rite. Mr. Tonahill was retired from Lunati Cams and was a U.S. Army Veteran of 30 years and retired as a Command Sergeant Major. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and working on cars. He was committed to his family and was always willing to help a friend in need. He will be missed by all those who loved and cared for him. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 12, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. also at Memorial Park. Interment will be in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
