Ronald Edwin Thum's Obituary
Ronald Edwin Thum, 80, of Memphis, went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2019. He is survived by, wife, Betty Thum, children, Michael Thum and his wife Barbara, James Thum and his wife Sharon, Thomas Thum and his wife Belinda, Brian Thum and his wife Marsha, 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, siblings, Richard Thum and his wife Marie Jo and Barbara Nicholson.Mr. Thum was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was a retired U. S. Navy Veteran, a man who didn’t know the word quit and gave when he had nothing to give. He will be watching over all of his family with no more pain or illness. He will be in the hearts of many and will be missed immensely by all who knew him.The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 21 from 3: 00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The burial will be held at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on a date and time yet to be determined. Please check back for service information.
