Ronald Thomas Ruiz's Obituary
Ronald Thomas Ruiz, 75, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023, after a brief, but valiant battle with lung cancer. Ronald was born on September 12, 1948, in New Orleans. Louisiana. He grew up in Metairie, Louisiana, later moving to Memphis, Tennessee in 1993 with his wife. He graduated from Delgado Community College in 1966, majoring in multiple trades. Ronald was a perfectionist and chef extraordinaire. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Thomas Ruiz, mother Rose Marie Bienvenu Ruiz, brother Milton Ruiz, and his beloved canine children, Frankie, Lillee, Pepsi, Scooter, and Ziggy. Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Gail Neff Ruiz; his sons, Ronald, Jerry, and Tommie Ruiz (Cheryl); steps-sons, James (Rachel), Gregg (Rebekah), Jason (Dana) Garofalo; sister Joan R. Eldridge (John); brothers, Stephen and Bryan Ruiz; grandchildren, Kadie, Madison, Zach, Melanie, Allison, Grady, Cole, Mia, Penny, Barrett, Serafina, Sloane, Sofia, Charlie, and a host of nieces and nephews.
