Ronald Patrick Riley Sr.'s Obituary
Ronald Patrick Riley, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on January 21, 2023.
Ron was born in Bridgeton, NJ on March 17, 1948. Ron was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, son and friend to all. Everyone that knew Ron knew that He was a man who loved Jesus.
Ron had a love for the outdoors. There was rarely a time that you would see him without a Diet Dr. Pepper, something that involved peanut butter or their two pups. Ron generously gave his time to his church, volunteering and teaching future generations his passion for flying. Ron proudly served in the United States Air Force. He flew the C-141.
One of Ron’s most honored roles was serving as a Deacon at Crossroads Baptist Church in Eads, TN where he and his wife, Anne are members. They both are devoted Christians who love the Lord and want to tell everyone about Jesus. Ron was always a family man. He never met a stranger and had a heart of gold.
Ron’s beaming smile, joyful spirit and unwavering faith will be remembered most. He was truly adored by all who knew him. His desire was that all would know Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and Savior. Ron and Anne were blessed with a wonderful, long marriage. God is so good.
Ron leaves behind his wife, Anne Riley, two sons Ronald Patrick Riley, Jr (Kelly) and Michael Preston Riley (Jenny). Their grandchildren are Sydney Riley, Bailey Riley, Mackenzie Riley and Brady Riley all in the Memphis area. He also leaves behind his sister, Pat Stoffels (Jim) and her children, Jaime Hassler (Douglas) and Meghan Venecock (Scott). Also his sister-in-law Jeannie Hobbs (Lee) and Shelbye (Cameron) Tatum. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Francis Riley and Ethel Homola Riley.
