Ronald Brent Ragin's Obituary
Ronald Brent Ragin passed away on May 3, 2024, having spent the last several days surrounded by his family. Brent was 61 years old and resided in Germantown, TN with his beloved wife, Laura Ragin.
Brent was born in Decatur, GA to his parents, David and JoAnna Ragin. Brent grew up as a loving brother to Scott Ragin, Doug Ragin, and Angie Lee. When Brent lost his father at the young age of 11, he quickly took on the supportive role to his mother and siblings, which is a quality that continued throughout his entire life and was admired by all those who knew him. JoAnna later remarried Ken White who became a loving stepfather who Brent adored and cherished. Through this marriage, Brent gained two stepbrothers, Cody White and Chance White.
After college, Brent moved to Little Rock, AR where he met the love of his life, Laura Ragin. They soon married and had two beautiful boys, Andrew Connor Ragin and Garrett Coleman Ragin. Brent spent his whole life as a brilliant businessman always motivated by caring and providing for his family and all those around him.
Brent’s entire life was spent dedicated to serving the Lord. From ministering to his family daily, serving consistently at the assisted living facility, providing “second chances” through employment opportunities, and always silently meeting the needs of all those around him, Brent dedicated every second of his life to being the hands and feet of Christ. Found in his Bible after his passing, on an old index card, Brent defined his life best with his own words, “My mission is to live a life where God is glorified through the way I live, love, interact, work and worship when no one is looking.”
He was a man that strived to be patient, peaceful, persistent, present, and purposeful. God has been glorified and will continue to be glorified through Brent's life and the fingerprints he has scattered through this world. He was an imperfect man with an insatiable desire to follow a perfect God whose mission he would see through every day.
He was deeply loved by his family, and he will forever be cherished and missed. To our husband, dad, and G-Daddy, we are beyond proud of you, and we eagerly await the day we will someday join you celebrating in heaven.
Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. Psalm 116:7
He is survived by his wife, Laura Ragin; his children, Connor (Brittney) Ragin and Garrett (Emily) Ragin; and his grandchildren, Liam Ragin and Maddox Ragin.
A visitation will be held at Highland Church of Christ from 10:00am-11:30am on Thursday, May 9th. A celebration of life will follow at Highland from 11:30am-12:30pm.
