Ronald Gregory Harris' Obituary
Ronald Gregory Harris died on February 2, 2023.
Ronnie was born in Kansas City, KS on August 29, 1971, then moved to Memphis as a teenager. .
Upon landing in Memphis, he knew he had found his home. He and his wife attended Colonial Jr. High together in the '80s but didn't meet until 2012 - they were inseparable from that moment on.
Ronnie was a force of nature and loved with his entire heart. If he loved you, you knew it. Kind and loyal, you could always count on him.
At his core, Ronnie was an artist. Although he started his career in structural steel, he became prolific in ornamental metal. His talent was extraordinary, and he filled the city of Memphis with his work - anyone who ever drove through town with him would get a tour of his portfolio. He spent his last few years focusing on metal sculpture and selling his work at art walks and craft fairs.
There are not enough words to describe everything Ronnie was. He will be forever loved, missed and remembered by all that he touched. Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife Tracey, her children Sutton and Branch, and two children from a previous marriage, Ariana and Terin.
A Celebration of Life was held at the Botanic Gardens on February 5. The love that was poured into the tribute by his friends was an incredible homage to his beautiful soul.
