Roger was the fifth NCA captain I flew with as a North Central new hire. I will always remember his humor and easy going personality….he was an immense help to me in my first year and he will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family.
I just THOUGHT I posted something about Roger BUT just in case here goes again.I met Roger when I started flying for North Central in Chicago. (ORD). We shared a commuter pad in Schiller Park, The two things I remember the most were going to a Mexican place out in Bensenville called LaMexicana for the Nachos Especiale-they were THE BEST!! The other thing we loved to do was eat at The Flaming Hearth in Memphis (MEM), where they had AWESOME Ribs, We’d have the ribs, a pot of beans, corn on the cob and a pitcher of beer–OR MORE-HA!!! LOL!! I flew Copilot for Roger many times and he was ALWAYS a pleasure to fly with. When it was your leg, IT WAS YOUR LEG!! Awesome Captain!! Roger Miller and Roger Barber were the best!! RIP Guys!!
