Roger Gaines Latham,86, of Olive Branch, MS., died at Elmcroft of Oxford February 19, 2021. He was born to the late Leonard and Lela Jamison Latham in Dyersburg TN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Latham in 2012. Read Obituary
I have lived out of the country for 5 years, and had lost touch with Roger. He was a kind, generous, and loyal friend who loved the LORD and others. I had the pleasure of singing with him on many occasions during a very short stint with The Coachman of Memphis, TN. He taught me many things and always made me feel like I was better than I really was. Farewell my friend....See you on the other side!
Roger and wife Sue were dear friends of my wife and me. Back in 1971 we relocated to Memphis from the St. Louis area to join up with Roger's Coachmen singing group. I served as pianist for the group. So many fond memories I have of my time in Memphis with the Coachmen, but mostly of the Latham family. Jerry and Jerri Malone, Grand Haven, Michigan.
