Rodney Howard Solomon's Obituary
Rodney Howard Solomon, 42, was born on April 2, 1970 in Philadelphia, MS to Mary Solomon, and the late Hoye Solomon. He was the oldest out of his two siblings, Randy Solomon and Tamara Popplein. Rodney grew up in Memphis, TN where he graduated from Gateway Baptist School. He worked at RJ Rental “American Snuff Company” for 10 ½ years. His hobbies were going to Powwows, traveling, playing his guitars, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Rodney became ill as of June, 7, 2011 and was later released. Rodney spent 9 ½ more months after that, and was shortly hospitalized once again. On August 29, 2012, Rodney Howard Solomon passed away at The Med, in Memphis, TN. He leaves behind his mother, Mary Solomon; his brother, Randy Solomon; sister, Tamara Popplein; niece Sayda Popplein; nephew Julian Solomon; and a ton of relatives. He was a good person, had plenty of friends, and always cracked jokes and had a smile on his face. He will be truly missed. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 1st from 5:00-8:00, the funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 2, 2012, both at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
