Roberta Hefley Templeton's Obituary
Roberta Hefley Templeton, 84, of Germantown, TN, formerly of North Augusta, SC, passed away on February 10, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Colonel Hubert Lionel Templeton, Jr. She is survived by five children; Darsey Templeton (Mark) Mitchell, of Hilton Head, SC, Stephen (Leanne) Templeton, of Collierville, TN, Helen Templeton (Mike) McGuire, of Collierville, TN, Lowell Templeton of Hilton Head, SC, and Elizabeth Templeton Spurlin, of Collierville, TN, eight grandchildren; Paul Mitchell, Shane Mitchell, Chase Templeton, Madison Templeton, Caitlin McCaskill, Connor McCaskill, Rhett Spurlin, and Garrett Spurlin, and a brother, Robert Hefley of New York, NY.She received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, her Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina, and her Education Specialist degree from Memphis State University. She worked as a homebound teacher for the Memphis City Schools for over 30 years, and was a longtime member of Germantown Presbyterian Church. Bobbie’s greatest joys in life were her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.The visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, February 14, at Germantown Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be sent to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital or Germantown Presbyterian Church.
