Robert Earl Wilson's Obituary
Robert Earl Wilson, 93, passed from this life to the next on Monday, November 7, 2022.. He is survived by his beloved wife of seventy years, June, and their three children, Ken Wilson, Carolyn Williams, and Wayne Wilson. He leaves two nephews, Palmer and Stuart, and one great granddaughter Jordyn of Pearl, Mississippi.
Born in Amory, Mississippi Bob graduated from the University of Tennessee Dental College and enjoyed a wonderful and successful life practicing dentistry for over thirty years. Outside of his active professional and business life he served many years as a Sunday School teacher in various churches. Additionally, his creative energy could be seen as he enjoyed painting, sculpting with porcelain, playing Jazz on the piano, and writing fiction and non-fiction. An insatiable reader, curious traveler, and friendly golf partner he was always curiously seeking knowledge, growth, and the next adventure.
Although always a jovial host to many friends in his home, his greatest passion in life was his family. His kids were dearly loved, and his wife lovingly served and cherished throughout their long and happy marriage. Many holidays will be remembered by nephews, both close and distant relatives, as the best of times because of his love for family. His family will continue to cherish his memory.
Family will receive family and friends Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, Tennessee 38119. His funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, Tennessee 38119.
