Robert` "Bob" Squires' Obituary
Robert “Bob” William Squires, 69, of Cordova, TN went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2024.
Born on January 20, 1955, in Enid, Oklahoma, he was the beloved son of William and Irene Squires.
Bob graduated from Garber High School in 1973 and went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Air Force from 1975 to 1981. Stationed at George Air Force Base in California and Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico, he specialized in digital flight simulators and served as a dedicated weapons control systems mechanic. His service earned him two distinguished honors: the USAF Good Conduct Medal and the Longevity Service Ribbon.
Following his military tenure, Bob dedicated himself to a career at Fed Ex as a flight training simulator technician from 1982 to 2009. Outside of work, he found joy in bird hunting, golfing, strumming his guitar, and attending baseball games.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five and a half years, Carli Jo, and his siblings, David of Enid, Oklahoma, and Patricia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind his cherished sons, Ryan, Josh, and Billy, as well as fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, July 13 at 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. all in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.
