Robert Raggio's Obituary
Robert Cecil Raggio, 81 passed away on June 11, 2015, at Methodist North Hospital after a short illness. He was born March 18, 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee to Lawrence Cecil and Jessie Collins Raggio. Mr. Raggio spent most of his life in Memphis and most recently was from Kenton, TN. He graduated from Treadwell High School and attended the University of Memphis. He was retired from W.A. Fortner Masonry. Mr. Raggio was instrumental in the early years of building several booster programs at Briarcrest Christian Schools. He was a faithful servant at many area churches in the past and currently a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Kenton, TN. He served as a deacon at Bellevue Baptist Church, Richland Baptist Church and Berclair Baptist Church. Mr. Raggio was preceded in death by his parents, a wife, Geraldine Thomas Raggio, an infant son, John Christopher Raggio and a brother, Larry Raggio. He is survived by his wife, Pat Ashe Raggio of Kenton TN; his children, Rebecca (Mike) Matheis of Lakeville MN; Carla (Bob) Tutt of Germantown TN; Robert Jr. (Suzanne) Raggio of Hernando MS; Michael (Robin) Raggio of The Woodlands TX; and a sister, Mary Alice Raggio Roach of Germantown TN. Mr. Raggio also leaves 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His family acknowledges his life by claiming this Bible verse Proverbs 11:25 – “A generous man will prosper; he who refreshed others will himself be refreshed.” The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 15 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial at Memorial Park.
