Robert Noonan's Obituary
Robert Dane Noonan, 63, passed away January 6, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis surrounded by friends and family. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, January 9 and a funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 10 both at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Robert was co-founder of the Memphis Italian Festival where he was involved for 21 years. He was a retired Safety Manager from the United States Postal Service after 37 years. Robert was an incredible husband, father, brother, friend and steward of his faith. He touched everyone he met and never met a stranger. He was passionate about life and always put his family first. Robert was a 3rd-degree in the Knights of Columbus. He was the past president of Holy Rosary Catholic Church’s Mens Club and a member of the club for over 20 years. He was on the board of directors of Camp Celebration. Robert was a big University of Memphis Fan. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Hilma J.; daughters, Angela Stemmler (Bill), Cathi Selden (Clai), and Lindsay Lowrimore (Will); sisters, Joanne Wagner and Patricia Grisham; grandchildren, Mallory, Madison, Trey, and Dane Selden and Olivia and Audrey Stemmler. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Clark G. Noonan; sister, Carol Biscieglia; and brother, Richard Noonan. The family requests donations memorials be sent to Wings Cancer Foundation, 100 N. Humphrey’s Blvd., Memphis, TN. 38120.
