Robert Miles' Obituary
Dr. Miles served in WWII as a Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He invented the Miles Vena Clip which was utilized on President Richard Nixon. He retired from Baptist Hospital as Chief of Surgery and also taught at UT Medical School. Dr. Miles was also a member of Christ United Methodist Church.He is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Donna Matthews Miles. He is survived by his son, Robert M. Miles, Jr. of Germantown and a sister, Kate Higgins of Crossville, TN.
