Robert William McGoldrick's Obituary
Robert William McGoldrick, 84 years old, passed away April 14, 2012 peacefully at his home after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Katie, two sons, Steve (Chris), David (Theresa), two daughters, Gail Lucas (Frank) and Lynda Deaton (Mark), seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three step-children. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wives, June and Caroline, his son Bill McGoldrick, two brothers, John and Roy McGoldrick, and one sister, Betty Walker. He was a member of Local 474 IBEW Union for over 65 years and worked as an electrician at Tri-State Armature. He served in the Navy Seabees in World War II and in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. He was a member of the Blue Lodge in Bartlett, a Mason, Scottish Rite 33rd degree and a member of the Al Chymia Shrine Temple for many years. He was the past President of the Shrine Musketeers and a member of the Shrine School’s Board of Control in Memphis. He was also a faithful member of Cordova Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 and a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 both at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
