Robert Joseph Kopacek's Obituary
Robert Joseph Kopacek, 94, passed away June 3, 2011 at the VA Medical Center – Memphis. He was a captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. Mr. Kopacek is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dorothy T. Kopacek; daughters, Debra Satterfield, Sara Guest, and Jody Ball; step-son, Randy Godwin; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. He enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife for 25 years and was an avid tennis player. He delivered meals on wheels for 16 years. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 5 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 6 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
