Bob was always cheerful and laughing. He was a friend to everyone he encountered. I have known him for my entire life and he was the same person when I was 5 as he was the last time I spoke to him. I can’t share “A Memory”. I have a lifetime of memories of Uncle Bobby. We would go for years without seeing each other, but as soon as I’d see him, it was like he had always been there. Even when I didn’t see him, I could see his smile. He always had a smile on his face and could put one on anybody’s face. I’ll always remember him babysitting us. Of course, he always sang. Every time he would sing about Ole Shep, I would sob. In fact, I heard him sing it just a few years ago and I still had tears streaming down my face. He was a great uncle and will be sorely missed.
We just heard the news at Center Hill Elementary school in Olive Branch and Mr. Harvey is going to be greatly missed. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. Words cannot even express my sadness right now! One of the best, most encouraging people I’ve ever met!! Never a dull moment with Bob. 😏 Always into something new. I will never forget the yard sales and being tagged in the latest insurance sales or online shopping requests. Not to mention Ellen and Trisha. Family forever. I love you all so very much! I am so sorry.
Bob was one of the most sincere, honest, loving man I have ever met. When Pat and he were dating and they would come by my Mom and Dads I would beg him to sing for me. He had a wonderful singing voice. I still have a record he made around here somewhere. I know he was a wonderful husband to Pat and a great Daddy. He loved his family and friends.
