Robert H Goss' Obituary
Robert H. Goss, 87, of Cordova, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011. He was born on April 10, 1924, to Fred and Lena Goss in Greenville, SC. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Lola S. Goss, his son Glenn (Jeannine) , a daughter Jill Slesinski (Richard), his brother Edgar Goss (Elinor), a sister Jeanette Reid (Wallace) of Greenville, two grandsons and two great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church and the Living Word bible study class. He served the Lord as an usher. He was on several committees connected to the Keenagers Senior Group. Robert Goss, Chief Master Sergeant USAF, retired, served in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was actively involved with the Boy Scouts with his son from Cub Scout to an Eagle Scout. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30am, on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Memorial Park Funeral Home with a military graveside service to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to Crossroads Hospice or Alzheimer’s Adult Day Care Centers.
