Robert Allen Frase, Jr. “Robin,” age 60, died of pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at his home in Eads, Tennessee. Robin was born to Robert Allen Frase, Sr. and Betty Rooney Frase in Washington, D.C. in 1949. He was the oldest of five, and married for 32 years to his sweetheart, the former Linda Carol Lynch.Robin graduated from Christian Brothers College in 1971 with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. An aspiring entrepreneur, Robin started in the electronic security business right out of college. Throughout his career his passion was helping protect the lives and property of his clients. He was well-respected in the business community, and built an organization that continues to serve the needs of thousands in the Memphis area.Robin enjoyed gardening, growing a year-round assortment of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. From the mid 1960’s to the late 1970’s, Robin played the organ in a number of R&B and rock bands. His love of music carried over to his family life. In the 1990’s he earned his private pilot’s license and instrument rating, logging over 1000 hours flying his sweetheart (and sometimes the kids) around the Southeastern United States. The golf bug bit Robin a few years ago. Since then he practiced nearly every day and played 1 to 2 rounds per week.Robin had a strong faith in God, supporting the missions of church planters in the U.S., Europe, and India. He had a great joy and passion for living, making the most of every day, and always encouraging others. He loved reading the Psalms, and his favorite verse of scripture follows: “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalms 19:14He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, children Joshua, Jonathan, Christina, and Robert, grandchildren Hutson, Elizabeth, Caleb, and Meredith, father Robert A. Frase Sr., siblings Michael, Sharon, Brian, and Stephen, and dear friends and long-time work associates Arthur Robbins, Tim McGee, Doug Olsen, Sokha Houy, David Washburn, Thomas Mausolf, and George Mejia. He is preceded in death by his furry best friend of ten years, Buster.
