Robert Scott Craig's Obituary
Robert Scott Craig, age 58, was received by his heavenly father on December 6, 2022 in Memphis, TN surrounded by his loved ones after a short battle with cancer. Scott was born on May 25, 1964 to Mary Ann and Robert Craig and was the oldest son of four siblings. He graduated with his Electrical Engineering degree from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN in 1993. Scott’s career choices allowed him to stay in Memphis where he married and became the proud father of Helen Lydia Craig. Scott was a devoted father, a loyal brother, and friend. Scott was a committed member of Lindenwood Christian Church and dedicated to his pursuit of wisdom in Christ.
Scott enjoyed deep, philosophical conversations entertaining ideas of space and time. Many a Saturday morning was spent over coffee discussing the nature of the universe, timelessness of God, energy, and life. Scott was a man of few words, showing his love to family and friends with actions and thoughtful deeds. Every day he found time to read to his favorite audience, Helen. He also enjoyed the thrill of “two on the road” flying along at 95 miles per hour. He could always be found in his garage, tinkering with his babies - Triumph motorcycles.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents Robert Howard Craig and Mary Ann Johnson Craig and his sister Ann Elizabeth Craig. He is survived by his daughter, Helen Craig, his former wife, Linda Rose, his brother Benjamin Craig and sister Annette Laswell, his nephews Robert and Joshua Laswell and niece Sarah Laswell.
