This post is very late about Robert, but I being his cousin Bil Bracktt,felt like he would have wanted it for historical reason. All of the Brackett cousins are Cherokee, as was Robert. His mother Callie Brackett was born in Vian Oklahoma, before statehood and was enrolled by the Dawes Commision in 1904 with the Cherokee enrollment #2342. The Brackett family moved to this area of the Cherokee Nation between 1832-!834 after signing the removal roll of 1832 in the old Cherokee Nation of Georgia.

Professor Cox was the guru of Property Law and an excellent professor. He was always respectful and kind to us students- adding a sufficient amount of humor to make cases and legal concepts interesting. He went out of his way to make sure his students were prepared for the final semester year end exam- with the famous and appreciated- RD Cox review class – covering the highlights of the final exam to come. Thank you Prof. Cox, for helping so may law students. God bless Dr. Cox and his family.

I was a student of Dean Cox first in 1976. I remember him so well as a precise teacher with a sense of humor. I suspect that, by then, he had seen it all in terms of law students. In later years, when I occasionally saw him, he was always gracious. I am sorry for your loss of such a good and nice person in this life.
