Robert M Collier's Obituary
Robert M. Collier, 89, passed away at home Saturday, January 24, 2009. He was a native Memphian and served in the Air Force for four years during WW II. Following the war he returned to Memphis where he worked in the automobile industry until his retirement to Brighton, TN in 1996. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and also spent much time studying the Civil War in which both of his grandfathers served. He is survived by his Wife; Connie and three daughters; Virginia Eddleston, Juene Collins locally and Kathy Swanson and her husband Paul of Lovettsville, VA, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three sisters; Ellen McCord, Jean Williams of Germantown and Margaret Hoover of Glacwin, MI. He also leaves three stepchildren; Linda Chastain, Kathy Allen and Bill Estredge. The visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm, Tuesday, January 27th at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. The funeral service will be held at 11:30am, Wednesday, January 28th at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Main Mausoleum.
