From 1985 - 1987 I worked as a busboy/dishwasher at The Dutch Pancake House. Mr. Chandler was the night manager there. He was a real pleasure to work for and I thought the world of him. He would work all day at The Chandler Wrecking Company and then spend his evenings dealing with customers and employees at the restaurant. I ran into him at Walgreens in 2010. At the time I had not seen him in over 20 years. We laughed and talked about old times. During the time I worked for him I didn't realize the influence he was having on me and how that would help me in the coming years. At the time, I just knew that he was a good man and that I liked him. I was just a teenage boy when I worked for him with many life lessons still yet to be learned. Thanks Mr. Chandler for being one of the good guys in this world. Rest in peace!
