Robert Brown's Obituary
ROBERT “Bob” BROWN, 82, of Germantown, died March 26, 2010 at The Village of Germantown. Bob was born in Boston, MA, son of Ernest and Mary Brown. He was preceded in death by his late beloved wife of 55 years, Jeanne Brown. He is survived by a sister, Margaret of Roxbury, MA, two daughters, Rachelle Goforth and Cheryl Brown of Memphis, a granddaughter that he raised from the age of 2 months, Christy McLaughlin of Memphis. He also had three other granddaughters, Lisa McMurtry, Kim McDaniel, and Heather Hatch, all of Memphis. He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Evan McLaughlin and Aidan and Annalese McDaniel. Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Navy from 1946-1948. He was former Vice President of Operations for Bruce Paneling and Molding Division before working with the Cook Industries Division. Bob was a founding partner and the owner and CEO of Biwood International up until his death. He spent much of his career in international business developing strong relationships throughout Asia. Bob traveled extensively throughout the world and was active in many charities including Catholic Charities and supported St. Agnes/St. Dominic Schools. He was an active parishioner at Holy Rosary Church for over 40 years. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 28 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
