Robert Alan "Bob" Pittman's Obituary
Robert Alan “Bob” Pittman, 74, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at his home. A private family graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, December 18 at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 6865 Poplar Pike Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119 with a celebration of life service to follow at 3:00 pm.Bob was born on November 12, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee to H.P. (Joe) and Yvonne (Bomar) Pittman. He graduated from Treadwell High School in 1960. On July, 27, 1968 he married Toni Phipps in Bristol, Tennessee. Bob was employed in medical sales for more than 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran church, and a member of the Shelby County Republican Party Steering Committee for over 20 years. Bob was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.Bob is survived by his wife Toni Pittman, his son Richard Alan Pittman and his wife Jennifer of Collierville, TN, a daughter Alison Pittman of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren, Payton Cully, Richard Alan Pittman, Jr. and Landon Matthews Pittman, his brother Richard H. Pittman of Memphis, TN and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, H.P. Pittman and Yvonne (Bomar) Pittman.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
