Robert E. "Bobby" Dollar's Obituary
Robert E. “Bobby” Dollar, Sr. 93 passed August 23, 2018 at Methodist Hospital with heart failure. He had been a resident at Applingwood Health Center since 2012. Robert was born February 22, 1925. He was preceded in death his son, Robert Dollar, Jr.; grandson, Jeff Dollar. Robert is survived by his son, Glenn Dollar and wife, Creta; stepdaughter, Charlene Weatherington and husband Jay; five grandchildren, Danny Dollar, Michele Anderson, Teresa Blount, all of Memphis, Paula Dollar of AR, Sandy Dollar of CA; 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Robert served in the Navy as an aviation mechanic during WWII, held many jobs prior to his job at Firestone Tire & Rubber, where he retired, then went on to work at AC Electric. Visitation will be Monday, August 27, 2018 from 12:30-2:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Robert will then be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Beatrice Dollar at Memorial Park Cemetery 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN
