I recently read Humankind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bregman, and it reminded me so much of Bob. I wish I’d had the chance to tell him once more how deeply I admired his optimism about people. That conviction was the foundation of his life’s work.
I will always be grateful for the extraordinary opportunity he gave me — and for the courage it took at that time to appoint a woman to lead the company in South America. His support changed my life and gave me the confidence to believe in myself.
I miss you, Bob. Thank you for your support, your vision, and your unwavering faith in human potential.

I did not have the privilege of meeting Mr. Buckman in person; however, I have heard many stories that speak to his remarkable legacy. The fact that, when we think of Knowledge Sharing, we immediately think of him—even if we never had the opportunity to know him personally—speaks volumes about the impact he has had on our organization.
His influence continues to live on through all of us, reflected in our values such as Lifelong Learning and the way we collaborate and grow together.
I would also like to extend my sincere condolences to his family. His legacy clearly goes far beyond the individuals who had the chance to know him directly and continues to inspire generations within the organization.
