Robbie and Rodney Wilson's Obituary
Two beautiful lives were called to their eternal rest on August 23, 2024, as the result of an auto collision in Millington, TN. After long and beautiful lives, Robbie Ann Wilson (83) and Rodney Everett Wilson (85) succumbed to their injuries even with the heroic efforts of staff at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, TN. They were married 66 years and lived in Memphis, TN. They were dedicated members of Pleasant Chapel Church. They filled their lives with the love of family and friends and touched many souls through their philanthropic and selfless acts to all who needed help.
Robbie was preceded to Glory by her father Robert Sanders Fry, mother Elizabeth Elmira Phillips Fry, sister Mary Elizabeth Fry Holland, and her brother Robert Lee Fry. Rodney was preceded to Glory by his father George R. Wilson, mother Thelma Mason Wilson, and his sister Patricia Wilson. Robbie and Rodney were both preceded by their sons Rodney Everett Wilson Jr and Jeffery Lee Wilson.
They are survived by their son Christopher Lee Wilson, sister Emma Katherine Fry Pershing and brother James Elton Fry. Additionally, they have 3 nieces and 4 nephews.
Visitation and services will be held respectively at 12pm and 1pm on Wednesday, September 4 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis, TN. A brief gravesite gathering will occur after their burial.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to TN Baptist Boy’s Ranch in Millington, TN or to St Jude Children’s Hospital.
