R.L. Stevens' Obituary
R.L. STEVENS, 88, of Germantown, passed away on October 23, 2010. He was a WW-II Marine veteran. Mr. Stevens was the youngest 1st Sgt. ever to be field commissioned at the time of his service. He was a retired pharmaceutical representative for Bristol Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his son, Clayton Stevens and is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joy Stevens, two sons, Dr. Haynes Stevens, and Cleve Stevens, and nine grandchildren. The visitation will be held 5 pm to 7 pm Sunday, October 24 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, October 25, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The interment will be in Memorial Park Funeral Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Clayton Stevens Memorial Fund, a non-denominational charity for people in need in the area of Oxford, MS.
