Rick Condrey's Obituary
Rick Condrey, 71, of Memphis, Tennessee, went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 25, 2025. Born in Memphis on September 19, 1954, Rick attended Bartlett High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Lindenwood Christian Church where his faith and heart for service guided his life. Rick worked as an ADA consultant with American Disabilities Consultants and retired from the trucking industry. He was active in The Grand Krewe of Phoenix of Carnival Memphis, where he found joy in fellowship and service to the community.
Known for his soft heart and kind spirit, Rick had a special place in his heart for the underdog—whether it was people down on their luck or stray animals in need of care. He constantly reached out to help those in need without telling anyone else or drawing any attention to his acts of kindness.
Rick was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jeremy Bassette; his mother, Juanita Condrey; and his father, Billy James Condrey. He is survived by his life partner of 23 years, DeAnne Gammon; his sister, Gloria Condrey; his brother, Robert Condrey; his sister, Teresa Smith (Fred); and his brother, Ronald Condrey (Jackie).
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Lindenwood Christian Church, 2400 Union Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at a later date at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Lindenwood Christian Church Outreach Ministries or a charity of the donor’s choice.
