I have had the pleasure of knowing Rich for 25 years. He was a wonderful man with a huge heart. He was one of the smartest guys I’ve ever met, and his quick-witted sense of humor was always sure to keep everyone laughing. He was always the life of the party, and he was loved by all his friends. Over the years, Rich and I often talked about his faith and his relationship with God. My family had given Rich and Keri a housewarming present when they moved, and it was a wooden plaque that said, “It is well with my soul.” He loved that plaque and was always singing that song. I know without a doubt that he is living the most amazing life in Heaven right now. I can just imagine all his family and friends greeting him at the gates, and Rich laughing with them. Rich was a special man. He broke the mold. To all those who loved him, please know that he is no longer in any pain. He was tired, and God decided that Heaven needed another Angel. This poem makes me think of him.
