Richard Singer's Obituary
Richard Singer, age 71, passed away on December 22, 2020 after recovering from the Corona Virus earlier in the year. We appreciate his caregivers at Allenbrook skilled nursing facility since we were not able to visit there. He was the first of four children of Jan and Ward Singer. He was born in St. Louis Missouri and then moved to Hinsdale, Illinois, and Memphis TN with his family. As an adult he later moved to The Baddour Center in Senatobia Mississippi, where he lived in community with many good friends and helpful support people. Baddour was his home and he appreciated being able to work and live with dignity and enjoyment.
He is survived by his loving siblings: Susan (Fred) Houchins of Knoxville, TN; Bill (Bob) Singer of Denver, CO; Jim (Maggie) Singer of Memphis TN. He is the beloved uncle of Jesse (Tara) Houchins and their 4 children of Florida; Sara Houchins of Mexico City; Erin (Joel) McCombs of Asheville NC; Brian (Emily) Singer and their two children of Memphis; Katie (Andrew) Sayne of Knoxville TN
A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park and Cemetery on April 10, 2021 at 10:00am.
If you are so inclined, please feel free to make a donation the The Baddour Center in lieu of flowers
Richard had a strong faith in God. He suffered physically and developmentally in this life which did not in any way prevent him from being a beloved child of God who was kind and friendly to others. We appreciate any prayers you may have for Richard as his soul is with God.
