Richard Glenn Savage's Obituary
Richard Glenn Savage, of Germantown, TN passed away peacefully on April 22, 2024. He was a lifelong Memphian as he was born at Methodist Hospital on November 28, 1956, to the late Clifford and Doris Savage.
Rick, as he was known to everyone, was a 1974 graduate of Oakhaven High School. After high school, he later went on to work with his father and brothers before setting out on his own to become a leader in the industrial painting industry. Rick, throughout his career, had an impact on not only the industry, but those he had around him. Having employed thousands of people over the years, Rick helped to better their lives and the lives of their families. He will always be thought of as a leader, mentor, and friend. His boundless spirit and enthusiasm for his company is something that will live on through his legacy. He was also an avid outdoorsman and traveler. The love for his business, the outdoors and traveling were only outmatched by his love for his family. Rick was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and would want to be remembered as a loving family man. He especially loved spending time with all 8 of his grandchildren. His family was the most important thing in his life.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Savage of Germantown, TN and three sons, Travis (Nicole) of Arlington, TN, Jack (Candace) of Memphis, TN and Jamie (Trinity) of Eads, TN. 8 grandchildren, Dr. Brittany Savage of Nashville, TN, Thomas Savage, Corey Savage, Madison Savage, Kyle Savage, Ty Savage, Roman Savage and Sutton Savage. 2 sisters and 1 brother, Donna Hathcock of LaVergne, TN, Rhonda Savage of Carrollton, TX and Joe Savage of Germantown, TN. He was preceded in death by his brother David Savage.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 30 at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. all in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
