Richard M. Elliott's Obituary
Richard M. Elliott, 90, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett. Mr. Elliott served in the U.S. 5th Army under General George Patton in the European Theater of World War II. He was the founding president of the Memphis Area Teachers Credit Union, where he served for 35 years. Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannine and is survived by his children, Edward Elliott (Barbara), Helen Kimmons (Bynum), Sharon Elliott, and Carl Elliott (Jean); brother, Jack Elliott; grandchildren, Casey and Jason Elliott, Kelsie and Kara Kimmons, Maureen Kucinskas (Frank), and Natalie Proctor (Brett); and great grandchildren, Ava Kucinskas and Jacob Proctor. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service begins at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 21 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Richard was consistently described by everyone as a good man who loved his family. His family was his life and he will greatly missed.
