Richard W. Legg's Obituary
Richard Wayne Legg, 66, of Collierville, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 9, 2017 peacefully in his sleep. Richard is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bonnie; son, Jonathan (Michelle); daughter, Ashley (Alan); and mother, Lucille. He was the proud granddad to five precious grandchildren, Brody, Braden, Kaden, Briley, and Brynnlee. He is preceded in death by his father, Nessie W. Legg and brother, Kenneth Legg. Rick, as he was fondly called, graduated from Westside High School and worked in sales and in short term freight transportation. He loved golfing, fishing, road trips, being with his family especially the grandkids, and vacations in the North Carolina mountains with family. He loved to play the guitar and sing, and he was the worship leader and on the board of Faith Temple Church for many years. Honoring his wishes, there will be a private family service Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Memorial donations may be made to Gideons International, Teen Challenge-Memphis, or The University of Tennessee/West Cancer Institute for Research- Wings Supportive Care.The services are private and have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life….Behind the Stone Wall.”
