RICHARD E. HALL | Visit Guest Book RICHARD E. “Dick” HALL died Friday, June 3, 2011 from pneumonia complications. Richard was born in McKenzie, TN, November 28, 1925. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Hall moved to Memphis when Richard was nine years old. Richard attended Memphis City Schools, served in the Navy during World War II for 28 months, graduated with a degree in Business from the University of Memphis, was a 40 year retiree of the Commercial Appeal, enjoyed sport activities, and was a volunteer for Make-A-Wish Foundation and Lichterman Nature Center. Richard is a member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church. Richard leaves his wife, Joyce G. Hall, a daughter, Brenda H. Jobe and husband Paul; a son, Dr. David W. Hall and wife Ann; five grandchildren, Brian R. Jobe (Carri), Lauren J. Kornman (Chris), Megan H. Nunn (Steffan), Devon Hall, Andrew Hall (Amanda) and a sister, Majorie H. Mommsen. Visitation will be Monday, June 6 from 10-11 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home followed by graveside service at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be give to Colonial Park United Methodist Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Gideon Society for Gideon Bibles.
