Richard Harlon Fields' Obituary
Richard Harlon Fields, age 72, passed away on May 4, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones and the presence of Christ. Richard grew up in Whitehaven, graduated Whitehaven High School in 1965 and received a degree in business from Memphis State where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He enjoyed a long career in the food service industry including owning his own food brokerage company. He was a devoted Christian and a member of Germantown United Methodist Church. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Harlon and Gladys Fields. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Marsha. He also leaves two sons, John (Camie) of Nashville and Matthew (Brooke) of Memphis, daughter, Carly of Germantown. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hayden, Callie, Lainey, Harlon and Mary Lynn as well as his brother, John (Jennie). In celebration of love and memory the family will receive friends at Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 1 p.m. All services will be held at Memorial Park. A private family graveside will follow at a different time.
