Richard "Clay" Clayton Roland's Obituary
Richard “Clay” Clayton Roland, Jr., 24, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at his home. Clay has such a zest for life. He loved to make people laugh and he always did. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School and was a member of the Varsity Baseball team that won a State Championship. He attended The University of Mississippi and The University of Memphis. Clay enjoyed playing golf, hanging out with his family and friends, and the outdoors, going to the hunting camp to fish and hunt. He loved his dogs Abby and Lucy. Lucy slept with him every night! He is now whole and happy and sits with our heavenly Father. Clay is survived by his parents, Richard C., Sr. and Lorna Roland; sister, Ann Clark Roland and her fiancé Russell Elmore; grandparents Ike and Mary Nell Roland and Bob and Shirley Jones, both of Clarksdale, MS; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service begins at 1 p.m. Friday, April 27 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
