Richard Dean Brenneman's Obituary
Richard Dean Brenneman passed away Saturday, July 25 2009 at home in Germantown after a recent surgery.Richard was born in Toledo, OH on July 2, 1929 to Lee J. Brenneman and Ruth Lucille (Knowles) Brenneman. He was a member of Germantown United Methodist Church in Germantown, TN, Barton Smith Lodge, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, and Zenobia Shrine, all in Toledo, OH.He was employed at Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Company in Toledo for 34 years holding several District and Region positions before retiring; became Vice President of Willard Mirrors, Fort Smith, AR and again retired to work part time for The Great Frame Up in Germantown, TN.Surviving are his wife, Garnet, a son, Keith R. (Dawn) of Simpsonville, SC; and daughter, Ellen R. Douglas of Lakeland, TN. Also surviving is a niece, Barbara Thompson (Herbert) of Farmington, CT. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert L. Brenneman.Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. with services starting at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Sylvania, OH at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Germantown United Methodist Church, The Salvation Army, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
