Revenna "Rhee" Williams' Obituary
Revenna “Rhee” Williams, a life-long Memphian at heart, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Franklin, Tennessee at the age of 84.
She was born on February 4, 1938, to the late Johnny and Christine (Hamilton) Pulley in Pontotoc, Mississippi.
After graduating from Mississippi College with a bachelor’s in education, she moved to Memphis and started her teaching career at Sherwood Elementary. In 1964 Rhee married the love of her life Bob T. Williams. They had one son, Thomas Hamilton Williams. Rhee cherished Bob and the life they had together, loving and supporting him until his passing in 1997.
After several years of teaching at Briarcrest Christian School, Rhee retired to focus on her family. Over the years she spent time enjoying bridge, bowling, her friends, the Orpheum, Theatre Memphis, the church, Memphis basketball and football but most importantly loving and cherishing her two grandchildren. Whether it was cards, gifts or the occasional back scratching, she simply couldn’t do enough to express her love and affection for her grand kids.
All those that knew her spoke of her kindness and loving spirit. The words “come back and see me” will forever be etched in the memory of anyone who passed through her front door.
Rhee was predeceased by her father, Johnny, mother, Christine, brother, Rex and her husband Bob T. She is survived by her son, Tommy, daughter-in-law, Caren and granddaughters Mia Elise and Elena Grace.
