Renea Jones McAlister's Obituary
Renea Jones McAlister, 54, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away suddenly on July 29, 2014. She was born on June 21, 1960, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Memphis Preparatory School and attended the University of Mississippi where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma. She was the Clinic Administrator at The Baptist Medical Group. Renea was a past member of Les Passees and Memphi and a member of Church of the Holy Apostles. One of the greatest joys of her life was working with the children at Les Passees Childrens Rehab Center. Renea had a passion for helping others and always being there when family or friends were in need. Renea will be remembered as a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Renea is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, David McAlister, 3 precious children, Jonathan, Mary Hattie and Drew, and 4 stepchildren, Terry Boler (Jeremy), Grace McAlister, Kathryn Robinson, and David McAlister, Jr., 12 grandchildren, her mother, Carolyn Jones, her great uncle Paw-paw Woodrow Jones (Mary), her sister, Angela Jones Crone (Andy), and 6 adoring nieces and nephews who loved her like a mother, Rob Crone, Eason Crone, Noelle Crone, Alex Kelley, Carolyne Kelley, Tess Renea Kelley. Renea was preceded in death by her father, C. Jeff Jones, her sister, Libby Jones Kelley, and her beloved great aunt, Gigi Mary Jones. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 2 at Church of Holy Apostles from 12pm to 2pm with services immediately following at 2pm. Burial will be afterward at Memphis Memory Garden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the Madonna Learning Center Capital Campaign, 7007 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, Tennessee 38138 or Church of the Holy Apostles, 1380 Wolf River Boulevard, Collierville, Tennessee 38017.
