Regina Elizabeth Tolar Coleman's Obituary
Regina Elizabeth Tolar Coleman passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024. She was born in Jackson, MS on October 8, 1952 to Mr. and Mrs. Reginald H. Tolar, junior. She was predeceased by her parents and son, Robert Samuel Coleman. She is survived by her husband, Robert Woodrow Coleman, brother John Tolar and his wife, Mary Lynn, and daughter Lauren Coleman Robinson and her husband, Jay. She also leaves three adored grandchildren Fort, Libby, and Sam Robinson, as well as many sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and their children.
Regina attended Central High School in Memphis and graduated from the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Phi Mu sorority. She was a member of Grace St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and Church of the Holy Communion. Much of her adult life was dedicated to the loving care of her children, in particular her son, Sam. She had a heart for children with special needs and was an active member of Les Passees. The family would like to express their gratitude to Lizbeth Sanchez and Willie Mae Eddings for their loving care and friendship over recent years.
A service will be held at Holy Communion at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29 with a reception to follow from 3-5pm at the University Club, 1346 Central Avenue. Her family requests memorials please be directed to Les Passees Inc. or to Threads of Care at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.
