Rebecca Marie Reed's Obituary
Rebecca Marie Reed, affectionately known as Becca, went to be with the Lord on December 30,2023. She was born on October 3, 1988 in Memphis to Bruce and Linda Reed.
Rebecca graduated from Harding Academy in 2007. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010 from Southwest Tennessee Community College, earning her degree in Graphic Arts Technology. She was inducted into the International College Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, and the International Business Honor Society, Alpha Beta Gamma.
At a young age, Rebecca participated in dance and gymnastics. She was a member of the Harding Academy Bowling Team and went on to bowl in several leagues and tournaments after high school.
Rebecca was a member of Ross Road Church of Christ. She was baptized during a youth retreat at Harding University.
Rebecca enjoyed writing stories, crafts, coloring, working puzzles and travel. Despite her physical handicaps, for her birthday last year she traveled to Hawaii.
She spent most of her time in a wheelchair, but she enjoyed this trip more than any others.
Becca held a variety of jobs after graduating from Southwest Community College, eventually being hired as the Secretary at Ross Road Church of Christ. She was the church's secretary for 6 years. Becca was always working on making the church office a welcoming place. She decorated for all the major holidays.
She especially was fond of decorating for Christmas and when you walked in the office, you could see and feel her influence.
She is survived by her parents, Linda and Bruce Reed, her sister Jessica Love (Joel), and her niece Elodie Love and nephew, Ethan Love; along with many other family and friends.
Memorial donations can be made in Rebecca's name to Ross Road Church of Christ or the American Heart Association.
The family invites friends to Gather for visitation on Saturday January 6, 10:00am, at Ross Road Church of Christ with a service following at 11:00am.
