Rebecca Bradley Bauer's Obituary
Rebecca Bradley Bauer, 61, of 139 Forest Lake Drive, Simpsonville, left this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 to be with her God and her husband. She was the widow of C. R. Bauer who passed away on March 19, 2009. Becky and C. R. were married for over 38 years. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she was born in Memphis, TN, the daughter of the late Edgar James and Floy Elder Bradley. Becky was an active member, Eucharistic minister, and wedding director of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Becky and C. R. married on October 16, 1970 in Memphis, TN. After moving to California and Texas, they retired in Greenville. She was past president of Holly Tree Country Club Ladies Golf Association and president of Hejaz Ladies Golf Association. She and C. R. were both avid golfers. Surviving are five children, Greg and Gary Bauer, both of Livermore, CA, Dale Bauer and wife Janice of Fremont, CA, Gina B. Clark and husband Michael of Greenville, and Ken Bauer and wife Leslie of Lincolnton, NC; ten grandchildren, Mark, Paul, Matthew, Shane, Stephanie, Ryan, Adam, Aaron, and Jacob Bauer and Brian Clark; and two great grandchildren, Genevieve and Caitlin Bauer. She is also survived by her cousin, Mary Nell McColly and husband Steve. She was preceded in death by a half sister, Frances Hart of Greeley, CO. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2009. Visitation will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown at 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2009. Burial will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Memorial Park in Memphis, TN. She will be buried with her husband where they were married in Memphis. “I came that they might have life and have it to the full.” John 10:10.
