Raymond E. Moore, age 96, dies July 2, 2022, at Baptist Hospital. Ray lived in Memphis over 30 years, the last 8 years at Town Village Retirement Home.,
Ray was a member of Christ Methodist Church for over 30 years. In 2004, he and his wife Maxine donated a substantial sum to fund the Maxine Moore Music Academy at the church. Ray was a World War II veteran, service as a Naval officer. After the war he graduated from the USC in Mechanical Engineering. He then worked many years, as a valued executive, for Bechtel, a worldwide engineering company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Virgal Irene Moore, his wife Maxine Williams Moore, and daughter Roxanne Rae McKinney.
Services will be on May 11 at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN with a visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 that day. Chris Carter will be officiating.
