Raymond Getske's Obituary
Raymond Nickolas Getske, 82, passed away August 15, 2013. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Getske was employed as a long haul truck driver with Spector/Redball for 20+ years before serving in the Trace Department at Federal Express for 10 years prior to his retirement in 1995. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Lynn Saffer and survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Kathrine Fowler Getske; sons, Philip D. Getske and Raymond N. Getske, Jr.; daughters, Virginia K. Dawson and Barbara L. Getske (Missy); brother, Michael Mika; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the memorial service begins at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 20 at Balmoral Presbyterian Church. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery will be private.
