Ray Lamar Stultz, 84, passed away on December 31, 2016. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5 from 1:00-2:00PM with the service to immediately follow. Burial will follow at a later date in West Tennessee Veterans Read Obituary
My dad was a Korean war vet who fought on the front lines for our great country. He never spoke much about his service other than making the sound of a mortar with his mouth. I would often ask him about his time over there and he would say, “That’s not something you need to hear.” I am proud of my dad, all who haved served and serve our great country! God bless you! Love you and miss you daddy!
My dad loved his family and always had kind comforting words to share with them but he never shied away from telling them to always be ready to meet the Lord! He would tell everyone he came in contact with. That was his mission in life and he stayed the course until the end. Never ashamed. Everytime I talked to him I was given a scripture to read. It was manna to his soul. He was able to recite the Lords prayer with my mom and then became quite awaiting his family. We said our goodbyes while his eyes were closed, then he went to be with the Lord. I love you dad and will forever hear your voice asking me, “If the Lord came right now, in the blink of an eye, are you ready?”Are we ready?
JEHOVAH!!!! Love it when he said that!! Loved how he loved speaking the word of God to anyone that would sit down and listen. The last thing my papaw said to me while he was in the hospital (holding my hand) which is so fresh in my mind that I can still hear him speak it was “April, you are very special (he has always told me this). God has a great purpose for you and I mean that……I love you very, very much”. My papaw was such a great God fearing man and I am so thankful that he God gave me 36 precious years as his grand daughter. He was so proud of me and always told me. The love I had for that man is never ending.
